Highly Configurable PCB-Based RFID Tags with Exceptional Size-to-Performance Ratio

The Sentry PCB Tag is a low-profile passive UHF RFID tag based on PCB technology, delivering an excellent balance between compact size and read performance. Designed for demanding applications, it occupies minimal space and has very little impact on the asset while maintaining long read ranges even in reduced dimensions.

Thanks to its ultra-thin profile, it is highly resistant to displacement caused by rough handling, making it ideal for use on hand tools, weapons, small metal assets, and industrial components.

Its rugged construction provides outstanding resistance to impact, vibration, extreme temperatures, and chemical exposure. The tag can also be easily adapted for applications involving overmolding, spray coating, or direct metal embedding.

The HID Sentry product family is built on a highly reliable printed circuit board platform that ensures superior consistency and stability in read performance. At the core of the tag is a fiber-reinforced composite material that provides structural strength and long service life. Its patented design enables rapid prototyping and cost-effective customization, meeting the growing demands of the RFID industry.

Some models are available with the optional Sentry Pro version, featuring a reinforced design and high-performance adhesive capable of withstanding more than 1,000 autoclave sterilization cycles. A polyimide substrate option is also available, increasing thermal resistance up to 240 °C (464 °F).

The Sentry Instrument variant features an ultra-low profile and is specifically optimized for long metal instruments such as scissors and medical devices. Meanwhile, e-Module transponders provide high-frequency (HF) coils in a rugged housing, making them suitable for high-temperature manufacturing processes and applications requiring specialized finishing.
